Maria is an illustrator and fine artist from Barcelona, currently living in Boston. One lucky day, she stumbled upon the art of children's books, and, fascinated by its magic, she set out to become a picture book illustrator herself —so she could be as close as possible to that enchanting world.

She is the illustrator of Baby’s First Zodiac (K. Pieri), Nila’s Perfect Coat (N. Paulson), Sparkle Boy (L. Newman), and more. Maria's whimsical artwork often explores the rich inner world of children, the beauty in everyday moments, and she enjoys sneaking quiet, hopeful messages in her illustrations. Maria creates her work digitally and in traditional media, often combining both.

When she’s not creating children's book dummies, Maria enjoys making crafts with her kids, reading, and cooking —juggling it all at once, with music, of course :-) 🎶
